Barbara Parda-Głomska – psychiatrist, psychotherapist. Barbara graduated from medical college and as a doctor specializes in general practice and psychiatry for adults (specialization close to completion). After studies she practiced as a doctor and later moved on to work for big pharmaceutical companies, what resulted in her perfect understanding of the business and corporate environment. Few years ago Barbara returned to her medical profession and is currently working as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. She is completing her specialization studies in psychiatry for adults in the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, and next year will graduate from the four-year post-graduate study in psychotherapy in the integrative approach in the Professional School of Psychotherapy at SWPS (Warsaw School of Social Psychology) and IPZ (Institute of Psychological Health) in Warsaw. Barbara has been also a member of the Polish Psychiatric Association where she leads the audit committee. In addition, she deepened her professional know-how by studies on hypnotherapy under supervision of Professor Aleksandrowicz as well as family therapy in the Clinic for Children and Adolescents of Professor Namysłowska. Barbara is also planning to undergo another specialization in the field of psychiatry for children and adolescents as well as to widen her psychotherapist skills by the systemic approach. At the moment she is working in the psychiatrist hospital in Tworki and runs her private medical and psychotherapist practice under supervision of psychotherapists – supervisors certified by PTP (Polish Psychological Association). For the last year she has been cooperating with the CONSEPT company in the realization of educational programs for doctors and patients.
Barbara is married and has got a 13-year old son. She loves Italy and consequently learns to speak Italian. She has also got a dog and two cats. In her free time, she practices callanetics and relaxes with classical music tunes.
